The mission of the Lake View Towers Community Learning Center project is to provide its community of school-aged youths, families, young adults and senior citizens with access to published, and computer and technology-based learning, as well as to increase computer literacy skills, strengthen academic performance, enhance employment skills and facilitate residents' use of technology.

The Community Learning Center will be located on the main floor of the South Tower, the second door on the right after entering the corridor from the lobby. The proposed Grand Opening is 2015.

THE LIBRARY
The library will be stocked with educational and leisure reading material. Residents will be able to check out reading materials after presenting a authorized library card.

There will be 2 computers with internet access available for use during library hours. Residents will be allowed to use the computers for a limited time period based on availibility and demand.

THE COMPUTER LAB
The computer lab will have 12 computers. Access to the computer lab will be authorized for students using tutorial software for academic improvement, those who have been cleared to work on a school project, and those who are enrolled in a Learning Center class or tutorial program.

The Residents' Social Committee is currently developing the classes and programs for the computer lab. The class schedules will be posted in the Community Learning Center door, on the website Community News page, as well as on the bulletin boards by the elevators in both towers.

LakeView Towers
FITNESS CENTER

The Lake View Towers Fitness Center is located in the main lobby opposite of the security desk. It has been upgraded to include state-of-the-art fitness equipment providing different ways for LakeView Towers residents of all ages, to exercise, to reach their fitness level goals.

Residents that are interested in joining the Fitness Center should contact the office. The membership rates are posted on the Fitness Center door and on the bulletin boards located by the elevators in both towers.

Community Room Project

The LakeView Towers Community Room has been enhanced to be used for educational, social, cultural, and recreational projects for the LakeView Towers residents.

The Residents' Communication Committee is currently developing programs to enhance the social culture of our residents. One project that is being considered is an After School program for our elementary school children, including homework assistance.

We are also encouraging residents to help in coordinating cultural events, teen and parental guidance, crafting classes, a theatre group, cooking classes, movie nights and any other projects that will enhance the life of our resident community.

The Community Room may also be rented by residents at a fee for social gatherings.

THE ADULT RECREATION PROGRAM
The year-round LVTRA Adult Recreation Program is to enhance the lives of our culturally diverse residents (21 years +), through games, social events, cultural activities, field trips, wellness, fitness, volunteering opportunities and counseling.

The facility is for adult use only. No one under 18 years old will be allowed. However, 16 and 17 year olds will be admitted if accompanied by a Lake View Towers resident who is an adult 18 years old or over and a member of the fitness center.
